Position Summary:
The Senior Advisor is a key member of the Sage Senior Network team, responsible for providing expert consultation to seniors and their families seeking senior living arrangements. This role involves building strong, trusting relationships, assessing care needs, and matching clients with appropriate community options. The ideal candidate is compassionate, resourceful, and driven by a mission to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for families seeking senior living guidance through phone, email, video meetings, and in-person consultations.
Assess clients’ medical, financial, social, and emotional needs to recommend suitable living options.
Educate families on the differences between care levels (independent living, assisted living, memory care, etc.).
Maintain a deep knowledge of local and regional senior care communities and services.
Coordinate and schedule community tours, accompany families, and provide follow-up support.
Build and manage a pipeline of leads in the CRM system; track communication, outcomes, and referral details.
Collaborate with discharge planners, case managers, and healthcare professionals to support seamless transitions.
Stay current on industry trends, state regulations, and local market developments.
Attend area networking and chamber events, vendor fairs, and special events to meet with like-minded professionals.
Visit healthcare facilities, hospitals, physicians, clinics, and other businesses in the industry of elder care in order to generate leads from referral partners, build brand awareness and maintain relationships.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
Able to pass background check and provide references
Are self-motivated and work well independently while staying accountable
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in social work, healthcare, business, gerontology, public health, psychology, or senior living related field preferred but not required.
Certification in Senior Care, Dementia Care or Alzheimer’s-related training (CSA, CDP, etc.) preferred but not required.
Experience:
1+ years in senior living placement, healthcare navigation, social services, or other related field in the senior living industry.
Familiarity with senior care options and industry terminology is a strong plus.
Skills:
Empathetic communicator and active listener.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual communication platforms.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a high level of accountability.
